We took our first road trip since we have lived in Texas this past weekend, so I thought it would be a great time to start my blog! Can't believe we have lived here for 2 and 1/2 years...I thought this was supposed to be temporary?? ? We went to Wimberley, TX to visit our friends Christy and Justin and their son Tyler. We spent Saturday at Sea World in San Antonio. Never before I lived in Texas would I have spent over $100 to spend a nice, relaxing day outside in the Texas summer heat rubbing arms with fellow sweaty Texans! We had so much fun though and it was so nice to get away and "bond" as a family! Not sure if there was any of that actually going on...but the kids were wonderful in the car! Nothing like some junk food, a DVD player and lots of semi trucks and animals for Carson to yell at out the window to keep everyone entertained! Now I have to prepare myself for our trip to Michigan in three weeks! I can't bring near as many bribes on the plane as I did in the car so I'll have to get creative. Does anything sound more fun than an 18 month old on your lap for 2 and 1/2 hours? Thank goodness for free chocolate chip cookies on the plane!
