Spring Break
Make an on-line slideshow at www.OneTrueMedia.com
We really wanted to do a little something for Morgan's first Spring Break, but we couldn't be away from home long (hello, all five of us in one hotel room) and it couldn't be too pricey! So we headed an hour away to Fort Worth! To the kids we were far far from home...perfect! We checked out the children's museum, including a super cute Sesame Street planetarium show. We swam in the hotel pool (Morgan's highlight of the trip I'm sure), went to the Fort Worth Stockyards, ate Mexican and BBQ, hit the Candy Barrel and we were home the next afternoon. The kids did pretty well and it actually did seem like a little mini vacation.

Just Pics
New Friend
This is the first lizard the kids got a hold of this spring, and there have been two more since. Unfortunately, none of them have left our yard alive. There has been lots of talk around here lately of heaven...lizard heaven, kitty heaven (we are now pet-less), and of course Rocky gets mentioned now and then too (Chris's child hood dog). It is so fun to watch the kids interact with each other when they have found these. Morgan is definitely not a super girly-girl who won't go anywhere near it, but she counts on Carson to actually pick it up and touch it. And of course Carson LOVES it!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E
Again...posting for prosperity's sake, because we're not proud of it! :) Taken at about 5:30am, after Carson had woken up without us knowing. Usually he is locked in his room (no comments on that please), but we had started to unlock his door before we went to bed so he could just come out quietly and come into our room when he woke up. The day before this was taken I was trying to be a good, crafty mom so we did a craft project that used dry macaroni noodles. The rest of the box was left on the counter. The next morning, Carson was able to get this off the counter and make an area to "drive his cars through". Well, of course that's what you would do with a packet of "cheese" powder! Not sure how long it took him to rip the package open either...
Unfortunately, a couple of days later we had a "mud pie" issue that involved candle wax, pepper, eye drops and anti-bacterial hand gel. Hmmmmmmm...never had these issues with Morgan! :)

Morgan's Birthday
SNOW
This winter we got much more snow than usual for Dallas, a record amount I think. Since I'm so behind on posting I can't remember how many times it snowed, maybe 3? But I do know we even had a day of school canceled because of it and the last time it snowed was the middle of March! Crazy! Here are some of our snow pictures. They once again remind me to count my blessings that we do not have an entire winter with snow like I grew up with!

Rewind
I use this blog mainly to keep family and friends that live far far away (sniffle, sniffle...) updated on the kids. It will also serve as my kid's baby books - it's all they're getting! So, I must rewind to the month of January to post some cute pictures for memory's sake. And if you're a family member with a birthday in January, you can be expecting your cards/gifts in the mail sometime soon too!
Picture above of Morgan and Carson in the snow at my parent's house in Michigan.
Cousins Milo (R) and Holden...Born 9 weeks apart.
Carson, Holden and Morgan
Grandpa Petersen with Holden
Morgan and friend Ani at their Rise and Shine performance at school. Super cute...the kids lead the school announcements, lunch menu, weather reports and lots of cute songs. Hats and scarves and snow/cotton balls was the theme!
Morgan reading to Holden. Oh how we love these pictures and we have a lot of them! Carson now reads to him too...CUTE! And oh my, he outgrew the outfit he has on in this picture long ago! More updates to come!
