Summer

We've tried to stay busy this summer. The big kids and I saw the movie Rio. Very cute!! One of my new favorites.

We went to a minor league baseball game. Thought this picture of Carson was hilarious!

Holden even got to get on the field for the Diaper Derby. He won!

We watched the movie Cars from the outfield of the baseball stadium one evening. The kids had a blast being out there in the dark. But I'm not sure what they liked better, the movie or playing with all the glow sticks we brought.

And we tried to see the Cars 2 cars. But since there was a two hour wait outside, we decided to see them from a distance. Morgan was terribly upset, but Carson was satisfied.

Brothers

Holden and Carson are really starting to play together. Well, sometimes anyway. Carson has to be in the mood for it. I think he really wants a playmate but wishes Holden were a little older! It's really cute to watch it when it happens.

Holden loves to read! Hopefully this lasts.

Zoo

We went to the zoo today and had a great time! We fed giraffes and goats. Morgan was loving it and didn't want to leave. She finally convinced Carson to get in on it too, although he was more tentative. Holden loved seeing the animals from far away, but surprisingly didn't like being too close to the rowdy goats.

Telling us "No!", which he recently learned from his brother. We really do try not to laugh when he says it.

Not too bad for a family shot.

She always wants to help him all by herself.

My big brother taught me how to dig in the dirt too.

But sometimes I get a faceful of dirt when he pushes me off the playset.

Train ride.

End of First Grade

Morgan has four days left in first grade. Crazy! This is at her end of year party.

With her sweet and amazing teacher Mrs. Young. Morgan absolutely loves her! She does so much for the kids and she put together an adorable program for the parents. Morgan got awards for writing, sincerity and the "Nestle Crunch" award, for always being able to count on her in a crunch. Cute!

Daisy Fun

Earlier this month we went to Chris's work picnic. The kids love it more every year! Here is Holden watching the big kids in the bounce house.

The hit of the day...the go carts.

They were both SO excited that Carson was tall enough to drive one of the kiddie go carts this year.

SCARY. I held my breath the whole time.

A little more experienced.

A quick picture during our very speedy miniature golf game.

Boys, ducks and the park

Last week we skipped our normal Wednesday activity to feed the ducks, ride bikes and play at the park. It was such gorgeous weather and Carson was having a hard time since the week before he had been with Morgan all day every day since it was Spring Break. Here is Holden enjoying his white bread treat.
Almost done with the first piece. I'm sure he's wondering why we don't buy that stuff more often.
My cute boys. Go Cubs!
No socks since he fell in the duck pond almost up to his waist. Why has that never happened in ALL the times that Chris has taken him to feed the ducks???
Loving his new freedom from walking!
Seeing how fast he can go.
So happy.
