Storm

The first picture shows how Carson felt about the storm last week. It seems like every time there is thunder here he likes it less and less. This time we were in the closet for about an hour while the worst of the storm passed but when we came out there was still a lot of thunder. I think it lasted all night and was still with us when we got up the next morning. We lost one of our precious shade trees during the storm, thanks to the lightening. Chris had just built our sandbox under the shade of this tree! A few days later the "green truck" came to take down what was left and remove most of the roots and stump. I think Chris and I are more sad than the kids about losing our tree!

E.T.

Last night Chris and Morgan went to see E.T. on an outdoor screen. It didn't start until 8pm so this was a big deal since I'm so strict about bedtime. They didn't get home until 10:30pm! Pretty bad when you're waiting up for your five year old so you can go to bed. She was really excited to go and was so cute packing her backpack just like Chris had done. She had seen bits and pieces of E.T. so she sort of knew what it was about. But I still can't believe she lasted for the whole movie!

Hats

This house is ready for two little boys now! Grandma B. got us a set of "dress up" hats for boys and we love them! You know Carson loves to dress up, so now he can wear these instead of princess clothes.

Trains

Here is Carson showing us the train track he built. This is one of the few things that he will play with for more than a couple minutes without Morgan. Big changes come August!

First Day and Last Day

Yesterday was Morgan's last day of preschool. Off to FULL DAY kindergarten on August 24th! Here are pictures taken on her first and last days of this school year.
