The first picture shows how Carson felt about the storm last week. It seems like every time there is thunder here he likes it less and less. This time we were in the closet for about an hour while the worst of the storm passed but when we came out there was still a lot of thunder. I think it lasted all night and was still with us when we got up the next morning. We lost one of our precious shade trees during the storm, thanks to the lightening. Chris had just built our sandbox under the shade of this tree! A few days later the "green truck" came to take down what was left and remove most of the roots and stump. I think Chris and I are more sad than the kids about losing our tree!

Poor tree! The yard looks so different without it, now you need to plant a new one.
