Done!

Cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. I think Santa prefers homemade cookies...maybe next year!
Look! Santa brought me a tanker truck from one of Daisy Brand's carriers!
Snowballs on Christmas day.
Holden made it outside too!
New scooters from Aunt Cathy!

More Catching Up

One of our Santa pictures...This one was at church and Holden was asleep in the stroller.
Seeing the reindeer at our other Santa visit...Holden asleep in the stroller again.
Remote control monster truck!!!!
Cute!
I can not get enough of these pictures of Morgan reading to the boys and them listening so intently. Holden absolutely loves it when she reads to him.

ICE!

We are so lucky to have our family come visit us so often way down here in Texas! The latest visitors were Chris's brother and his fiance...Uncle Steve and Aunt Jen. While they were here we went to see ICE!, which is a huge ice attraction that had a Dr. Seuss theme this year. The kids loved it, especially the ice slides!

Catching Up

I have so many pictures from the past month that I have been meaning to post. Nothing too eventful, just pictures for my family to see!

Christmas Eve

So I took 10 pictures before leaving for the Christmas Eve service at church trying to get one good group picture. These are the best of the bunch! Carson spent most of the time telling me to wait because he was trying to put his Matchbox car in his pocket.

We are having a white Christmas Eve here. A more than 30 degree drop in temperature from yesterday. We are loving the snow but wish we were in Michigan celebrating with our families!

Off to check if the kids are asleep and then do Santa's work!

Father Daughter Ball

This is the second year that Morgan and Chris have gone to the Father Daughter Ball. So cute! Our house is so chaotic right now that we never even got a picture of just Morgan and Chris. But this one is just as cute!
Can't you just picture a shot just like this one of Morgan and Carson about 10 years from now when she is going to her prom?

Angels

I ventured out to Target after school today with all three kids, only because we desperately needed a few things. Morgan and Carson were absolute angels (I guess the popcorn helped) and Holden slept the whole time. When I took this picture they were saying "We're married". By the time we left, it was "Okay, we're not married anymore". Oh my...lots of time to explain all that I guess.

Holden - 3 and 1/2 months

Perfect Tree

Not the way we wanted to do it, but just Chris and Morgan went to get our Christmas tree. We were running out of time for everyone to go and obviously the boys don't know what they are missing yet! She knew exactly which one she wanted and she picked the perfect tree for us! Especially since a decorated tree, a wreath and some lights outside is the extent of our holiday decorating!

Doesn't she look so old here?

I think it's love!

SNOW!

Look, it's snowing outside!
Outside when Morgan was getting picked up for school (realized that Carson's rain boots are too small for him, thus the Hello Kitty look)!
It stuck to the cars and the grass for a little while!
After school snack with warm cocoa and yummy homemade muffins (I know... homemade...gasp!).

Marvelous Maverick

Today Morgan was the Marvelous Maverick for her class! One child from each class is recognized every few weeks at a little assembly they have at the start of the day. In the spring Morgan's class will be able to do the presentation at one of these, right now the older kids are doing it. She has been SO excited to be the Marvelous Maverick and has been wondering when she would be chosen. The parents find out a couple days ahead of time so we can be sure we are there, but the kids don't know until their name is called. Last night she said (again) that she wanted to be the Marvelous Maverick, but this morning she mentioned that when she was chosen that she would be nervous to stand in front of everyone. Well, I guess she was right! She went to the front when her name was chosen, but didn't crack a smile and I could tell she was uncomfortable the whole time. When the assembly was over they all gather for a group picture with the principal in a different room. When she saw Chris and I for this, she lost it and started crying. It broke my heart! I think she was holding all her emotion and nervousness in before and had to let it out. So she was crying for all the group pics but this is her with Chris and I right before she went back to class. I'm sure her friends made her feel special after she went back to class and hopefully she could enjoy her special day in a less public setting!

Monster Trucks

Yes, today Chris and Carson did some father/son bonding at the monster truck show that came to town. It was loud and dirty and Carson LOVED it!

Tomorrow...the American Girl store for the girls!
