Bikes, Brothers and A Big Boy

Ready for a family bike ride.

Sweet brothers! One of many pictures from a morning spent in a new favorite spot to drive cars in dirt and climb on rocks.

The last picture of any of my kids loving their paci taken yesterday at nap time.

Showing off his bag of pacifiers to give to baby Ryan.

"Wait a minute, what's in here again?"

Only 30 minutes of crying for night one, another 30 minutes before nap today and maybe a minute tonight...So far, so good.

Uncle Chris and Holden

This box of cars that traveled with us from Texas came in very handy several times. Perfect for a dance floor.

LOVE this picture. (Also a picture of our extra bedroom for the week!)

Such a great idea to get the kids bikes to use while we were there!

Michigan Trip

I decided to back track and post some of the hundreds of pictures I took during our trip to Michigan in August. We drove there for the first time, rather than flying. 17 hours not including stops! Amazingly, it went better overall than we could have ever imagined.

This could have been such a great picture! This was the best of many! The kids were taking a break on the walk to the beach on Lake Michigan.

Drawing names in sand...

Boys, sand and trucks. Perfect!

The girl cousins...Morgan and Gracie.

Chris and his boys.

Thought this was a cool picture of Morgan, Carson and Gracie climbing the sand dune.

Holden and Milo

Carson's best nap ever...on Uncle Eric.

Grandma P. and Bennett.

Trouble! Carson and Gracie at Jason and Laura's rehearsal dinner.

Lots more pictures to come!

4's Preschool

Carson started his last year of preschool a couple weeks ago. These are the best pictures I got that day...it was storming outside and he wasn't in the mood for many pictures.

We are excited for lots and lots of learning this year! Everyone keeps telling me how much he's going to change in this last year before Kindergarten. In the first two weeks, he has rattled off three new facts. We'll take it! I think Holden misses everyone when they're at school. He gets super excited when I say we're going to pick up Carson or Morgan.

1st Haircut

Holden got his first haircut today. This isn't a very good picture, but I thought it was so cute that this is how he sat for the entire haircut so I had to post it. I think he looked down one time and that was it. Hopefully every haircut will be this easy!

Probably doens't look like much of a cut, but I have to loose those curls in baby steps. Once they're gone, they're gone!

2nd Grade

Morgan started 2nd grade on Monday! She was excited to go and has loved her week so far.

Holden is 2!

Happy Birthday to Holden! Trying not to be sad, but can't believe our baby is 2! Morgan and Carson gladly sang Happy Birthday to him at breakfast and dinner.

Not surprisingly, he only ate one bite of cake. Not sure where he got this from, but he's not really into sweets. Definitely not ice cream, and usually no frosting or anything creamy.

Tried all day to get a good picture of just him, there wasn't one in about 30 pictures.

This is Holden turning 1! I don't even remember him looking like this. And I was shocked to find a picture of him digging into cake. He doesn't even like his hands to be dirty now.

We love our sweet Holden. So far he is our easy going kid, and so so affectionate and playful. We know he does have a streak when he's pushed by a certain brother too far though. Can't wait to see what the next year will bring with those two. We love you Holden!

More Summer

Trying to keep busy this summer, we had yogurt for lunch one day...

After vacation bible school.

They love playing with pillows and blankets. I think this time they got Holden to lay under his blanket for about five seconds.

Fun Daddy let them play in the sprinklers in the front yard and back yard. This evening it actually was bearable to be outside.

Holden loved it!

Love this picture.

We got some new water guns. We tried to pick the biggest ones that would be fun with being able to hurt each other.

And we made some beautiftul clay pieces for Chris for Father's Day.
